Traveling to Tulum, Mexico

Tulum is a small Mexican town on the Yucatan Peninsula in the state of Quintana Roo. About two hours south of the airport in Cancun. Even though many hotels are only for adults, they can be a destination for luxury travelers, couples, solo travelers, and sometimes even families. It has a lot to offer adventurous travelers and health enthusiasts alike.
The beaches and yoga retreats in Tulum are the main attractions. It is where charming restaurants and chic hotels, high-end resorts, and idyllic white-sand beaches meet.

The thick tropical jungle that lies in between the picture-perfect white sand beaches and warm, turquoise waters of the Caribbean coast are what make it famous. If you’re the kind of person who likes to have a little adventure along the way, this trip will give you all that and so much more, unlike some beach destinations that only offer, well, beach time!

Tulum, about two hours south of Cancun, gives way to smaller, more bohemian hotels and resorts with all-inclusive amenities. Visitors often give the destination mixed reviews, with some saying that Tulum is the most beautiful, exotic, and spiritual getaway (it’s often compared to Bali because of this). Some people have said that Tulum is overrated because it is different from the rest of Mexico and because its popularity has grown a lot in the past ten years, which has brought with it new opportunities and challenges.
